Nanaimo .22 Rifle FIELD Precision Shoot

This Shoot will consist of sitting at a bench, shooting at paper bullseye targets placed at 50 yards (Y) and 100Y.
Any type of rifle sights can be used. The 1st shot will be fired at 1 p.m. on the last Sunday of each month (starting Sunday, 25 July 2021). Participants are requested to be present not later than 12:30 p.m. to get setup duties completed. If there are more shooters than benches, then a second Relay will be formed for an approximate 2:30 p.m. start. NOTE: Shooters should arrive with their rifle sighted-in for 50 yards, and with knowledge of the sight setting for use on 100 yards targets. Egos may be bruised.

A total of fifty (50) SCORING rounds will be shot at 50 Yards. A total of twenty (20) SCORING rounds will be shot at 100 Yards. NO Sighting-In rounds will be fired at this Shoot (adhering to ‘in-the-field’ scenario). All shots are ‘counters’.

  • 50 Yard Timing allowed is 40 minutes (for 50 shots)
  • 100 Yard Timing allowed is 16 minutes (for 20 shots)

The 50Y target ensemble consists of 10 bullseyes with each bullseye expected to receive 5 shots. The outer black ring is 3.5“ in diameter. Hits outside of black bullseye count as ZERO points.

The 100Y target consists of 2 bullseyes with each bullseye absorbing 10 shots. The outer black ring is 7“ in diameter. Hits outside of black bullseye count as ZERO points.

To replicate the ‘field’ environment, the following conditions are imposed:

  1. Front rest ONLY (i.e. no rear bags, no Lead-Sleds … buttstock touched by human parts);
  2. Bi-pods can be used;
  3. Slings can be used.

If a bullet cuts a scoring line, use the higher value. If there are too many bullet holes in an individual bullseye, investigation could result in either dropping the highest excess rounds from score on the offending bullseye, or re-shooting that bullseye.

Enter your scores on the Sign-Up Sheet. If you wish not to enter a numerical score, enter a “P” (for Practice) in your scoring block. If you wish a Final Results e-mail, provide the organizer with your e-mail address (put on back-side of Sign-Up Sheet).

Fee: The Shoot Fee is $ 2.
